I think most Americans agree that the Space Shuttle wasn’t the best ride in the universe and needed an upgrade.  Americans didn't know what was coming next but at least we figured it would be something cool. Something sporty and fast that could out run all those clunky communist space craft etc. Maybe it would have laser beams and HDTV!

   Not!

   No more space flights for you pardner! Momma don't let your children grow up to be astronauts!

When I was a kid spaceman was the occupation of choice. Not anymore. In the USA the future occupation of choice will be ward of the state! Kids will study socialism instead of astrophysics.

President Obama in a “back to the cave” declaration tossed American manned space flight onto the ash heap of history.

Sport Utility Vehicles and Space Shuttles have just got to go! Time to turn the Manned Space Flight Center into a community center!

   In 1963 President John F. Kennedy made a speech and he said “we choose to go to the moon”! Thereby stirring the blood, imagination, and determination of every young person in America!

   Obama said “we choose to live in a third world shit hole without hope of human progress”. This stirs the blood of social engineers I suppose.

   Ok, so he didn’t really say that but he may as well have! He probably never wanted to be a spaceman and now none of us will have to worry about it. At least not in the United States we won’t. If you want to be an astronaut go to China!

  Let the Chinese and Russians take care of space! Obama plans on spending the money on flashy new uniforms for the TSA or some other Federal Goon Squad. He is going to turn the space centers into schools that can’t or won’t educate the future of America. After all those kids won’t need to know much, it isn’t like they will be going to Mars or the Moon or anything like that. They are going to live in caves or grass huts and listen to Obama on their government issued solar powered radio (made in China) on the one government radio station ( All Obama, all the time). The only one they will ever really need!

   Picture the dawn of time. Obama, the leader of a band of primitive but intelligent cave dwellers are grouped in front of a huge black obelisk. He tosses a stick at the obelisk, it bounces off and he watches it go up  and up and …..it falls back to earth, still a stick. He picks it up and signals “back to the cave my people, our welfare checks are waiting”!

   It is not progress but at least it is progressive!
